Dr. Andrew Taylor Still (1828-1917) was the founder of osteopathy.  He revealed the concepts of the science of osteopathy in 1874 and founded the first school of osteopathy in Kirksville (Missouri) in 1892.

Dr. William G. Sutherland (1873-1954), a student of Dr. Still’s, had intuitions relating to the anatomy and physiology of the cranial system. After almost thirty years of anatomy studies, research and therapeutic application he extended the osteopathy principles to the craniosacral field.

Dr. Viola Muriel Frymann (1921-2016), bright student of  Dr. Sutherland, was fascinated by the possibile applications of osteopathy in the neonatal and pediatric fields. Dr. Frymann committed herself with great passion and professionalism to the treatment of children coming from all over the world at the Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego (California).
